OJB Calls Out D'banj In New Interview, Says He Didnt Give Him N7million

During an interview with Inspiration FM's Gloria Maduka post surgery, veteran music producer OJB Jezreel addressed controversy surrounding his donations, said celebs used it as competition and calls out Dbanj. Here's why he's unhappy with D'banj. During his fund raiser many months back, there were rumours that D'banj gave his former music producer N7m, a report that D'banj didn't deny. OJB says D'banj didn't give him a dime and was upset that he didn't try to set the record straight
"The most disappointing one for me is D'banj because he passed through my hands, he was trained under my tutelage. That is offensive. I don't care if you're with Kanye West, you can't forget your root. I won't call anybody else's name but I will call his because it hurts. His own hurts very deep. And he never tried to reach out to me. It's not like we parted on fighting terms.  He told me he had to go to London and he went. And when he came back it was Don Jazzy, and I said OK, that's fine. And what he did worked and I'm very proud of him, the love, that's why it hurts more. He should have come out to say no, I don't know why you people are saying all this, I didn't give OJB N7million, maybe a part of him felt embarrassed because at the end of the day, really, are you not supposed to do something?" OJB says during the interview
He also talked about how people used his fund raiser as competition and once again addresses the bounced cheques. Continue....

Al-Mustapha Challenges Obasanjo To Public Debate Over His Letter Jonathan

The former Chief Security Officer to late Head of State, Sani Abacha, Hamza Al-Mustapha, has challenged former president Olusegun Obasanjo to an open debate. This is in reaction to Obasanjo’s letter to President Goodluck Jonathan in which he alleged that he (Al-Mustapha) was released from prison to help the president train snipers to assassinate political opponents.

Al-Mustapha bore his mind and challenged the ex-president to a public debate on the allegations, while speaking to the Hausa Service of the Voice of America, VOA, which was monitored in Abuja on Wednesday.

While admitting that Obasanjo did not mention his name in the controversial open letter, he said that he knew the former president’s assertions were about him.

Confession Of Amaechi; I Fasted For 10Months To Become Gov

RIVERS State Governor and Chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum has attributed the increasing level of insecurity in the Federal Government.

He also said God, and not man, installed him as the state governor because he fasted and prayed for 10 months before he became the governor.

The governor, who spoke at Saint Vincent De Paul Catholic Church in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, said insecurity in the state was growing because the police had failed to do their job in an unbiased manner.

Presidency & Other Ministeries To Fuel Generators With N836.6m In 2014

The Presidency and other ministries, departments and agencies of government will spend N836.6m for the fuelling of plants and generators in 2014.

The amount is contained in the 2014 budget proposal before the National Assembly.

The figure is striking when considered from the standpoint that the government, had after the privatization of the power sector promised that Nigerians would begin to see significant improvement in power supply from the first quarter of next year.

Specifically, President Goodluck Jonathan had while inaugurating the Phase II 500 megawatt Omotosho National Integrated Power Project Plant in Ondo State two months ago promised reasonably stable power supply in the country by the middle of 2014.

Soyinka & Falana

In a short email message, the professor of literature said he was triggered by media reports indicating that an “APC-led group …has been paying courtesy visits to former Heads of States,” prompting him to ask if the party had thought it through what disaster this would mean for the nation.

Mr. Soyinka said the media report that stirred him to respond to the APC had these words: “Tinubu added that the APC had resolved to rescue Nigeria, appealing to Obasanjo to lead the mission. We’re resolved and determined to rescue Nigeria. We want you as navigator”.

Details Emerge That Fake South African Sign Language Interpreter Has Criminal Charges In 2003

Details have emerged about the violent crime charges that Thamsanqa Jantjie, the fake sign language interpreter at Nelson Mandela's funeral sevice faced a decade ago.

The bogus sign language interpreter at last week’s Nelson Mandela memorial service was among a group of people who accosted two men found with a stolen television and burned them to death by setting fire to tires placed around their necks, one of the interpreter’s cousins and three of his friends told The Associated Press Monday.
But Thamsanqa Jantjie never went to trial for the 2003 killings when other suspects did in 2006 because authorities determined he was not mentally fit to stand trial, said the four. They insisted on speaking anonymously because of the sensitivity of the fake signing fiasco, which has deeply embarrassed South Africa’s government and prompted a high-level investigation into how it happened.

Their account of the killings matched a description of the crime and the outcome for Jantjie that he himself described in an interview published on Sunday by the Sunday Times newspaper of Johannesburg.

Radar Online Blasts Mariah Carey For Performing In Nigeria

Unbelievable. Can't believe some of the things these people write. US gossip site Radar Online yesterday scolded Mariah Carey in an article posted on their site, saying she shouldn't have accepted to do a gig in a country known for 'terror, death and fraud'. What nonsense, they can talk when the US is the number one crime capital of the world. Read the Radar Online article below...
Mariah Carey proudly posted a pic of herself in a slinky yellow dress and wrote, “Backstage in Nigeria” on Saturday. But maybe the songbird should have done some homework before agreeing to the gig?
Her show was at Access Bank’s Christmas Party which was also a farewell bash for the bank’s managing director. And while Access Bank is a reputable financial institution, should Carey have known a few basics about the African nation before taking the paycheck?
Ironically — given that she was performing for bankers — it seems Carey wasn’t aware Nigeria is well-known as the center of the world’s email financial crimes! Nigeria is even part of the name — as in “Nigerian 411 Scams.”

I Never Dreamt Of Seeing People In Hell – Pastor Adeboye

General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, RCCG, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, yesterday, rubbished stories he had a dream and saw some people in hell, saying he never had such dream.

“There is one that said I had a dream where I saw many of my people weeping because they could not make it to heaven. It is all lie! I did not have any dream and I know that you will all make it to heaven in Jesus name”.

The man of God also debunked the claim that he has a terminal sickness and is soliciting for funds to travel to India for medical treatment, saying the story was the handiwork of impersonators who are out to extort the public.

Obasanjo Fires Again, Warns Jonathan: ‘Keep Your Robust Reply, Save Nigeria!’

As the Presidency prepares a reply to the 18-page letter written by former President Olusegun Obasanjo to President Goodluck Jonathan on the state of the nation, indications emerged, yesterday, that the former leader was not expecting any reply but action from Jonathan.

A competent source told Sunday Vanguard that Obasanjo was more interested in Jonathan addressing the core issues he raised in his letter rather than getting a reply to his damning missive, entitled, ‘Before it is too late’.

The source, which also denied any breakfast meeting between Obasanjo and Jonathan in Nairobi, the capital of Kenya, said the story was made up by those who tried to play down the importance of the former leader’s letter.

North Backs Obasanjo Over His Letter To Jonathan

obasanjo
The North has thrown its weight behind former President Olusegun Obasanjo over his letter to President Goodluck Jonathan in which the ex-president strongly criticised the current administration on sundry issues.

Both the apex body of northern Nigeria, Arewa Consultative Forum, and the Northern Elders Forum on Friday said all the issues Obasanjo raised in the letter should be addressed.

Obasanjo had penned what he felt to be Jonathan’s failings in an 18-page stinker. The ex-Chairman, Board of Trustees of the ruling Peoples Democratic Party accused the President, among other things, of not honouring his words, and taking actions calculated at destroying Nigeria.

The Governor of Rivers State, Rotimi Amaechi, on Saturday said political office holders steal state funds because Nigerians do not stone them.

Amaechi, who said this in Lagos at an event organised to pay tribute to Nelson Mandela, challenged Nigerians to hold their leaders accountable.

He said, “If you see a thief and you allow him to be stealing, what have you done? You have stoned nobody; that is why we are stealing. Who have you stoned? They came out and started dancing oil subsidy, oil subsidy. They told you that they stole N2.3trn, what did you do?

In Defense Of Obasanjo's Explosive Letter To Jonathan--Paul Omoruyi

Let me be clear and very clear - Former President Olusegun Obasanjo in my opinion has his hand in Nigeria’s proverbial cooking jar. Undoubtedly, as it is becoming obvious daily, history will judge him for his role in Nigeria’s political quagmire and economic quandary. Nigerians are all too aware of what transpired from the ignominious regime of IBB to the current lack luster government of GEJ.

Nigerian unborn will tell you that our beloved country has not been very lucky with visionary and revolutionary leaders that can change the status quo of incompetence, low expectation, financial misappropriation and rapacious greed.

Every Nigerian knows what is killing us as a nation and a people and can very well articulate it!

BREAKING NEWS: Buhari Arrives Otta On Invitation of OBJ

The defeated candidate of CPC in the 2011 presidential election and the leader of APC, Maj Gen. Buhari have arrived Otta, in Ogun state on invitation of former president Olusegun Obasanjo.

This is coming on the heel of Obasanjo's 18 pages letter to president Jonathan, which have been confirmed that four retired Generals from the North were party to.

Political feelers are now coming to terms that the actions of the G-7, House speakers utterances, CBN governors letter (written 4 months ago and resolved with NNPC then) and Obasanjo's letter are all grand design to destabilize President Jonathan's government and insinuating the public against the government through fabrications of unfounded corruption allegations. All of them are reading from the same hymn book.

The shock of this visit, was that Buhari has sworn over his life never associate with Obasanjo in any form or shame.

'Anyone Who Says I Bleach Is Stupid' -Former Governor Alao-Akala

He doesn't bleach? That hand could have fooled me. In an interview with Saturday Punch, former governor of Oyo State Chief Adebayo Alao-Akala, denied bleaching his skin and said anyone who says he's bleaching is very stupid.

During the interview, a Punch reporter asked him, 'Is it part of your own fashion to bleach?' OMG! Can't believe he asked that question straight up...lol. Big ups to the reporter.

 Alao-Akala replied...
Bleach? That is stupidity; you are asking a very stupid question, how can I bleach? You are very stupid to ask that question. What do you mean by that? What gave you that impression?
(He pulled up his clothe and singlet to show his fair complexion.)
Is this bleaching? Have you seen the cream that I use that makes me bleach or did you know me when I was black? So if you want to write that, put it there that I said you are very stupid to ask me that kind of question. Don’t ask that kind of question again. What you don’t know; you ask. You don’t even know my parents. Is my wife complaining or my children? I don’t know what gave anybody the impression that I bleach. You don’t know me; do you know what it takes to bleach?

Prince Buruji Kashamu Promise To Sue Obasanjo For Calling Me A Drug Baron In His Letter To Jonathan

The Chairman of the Peoples’ Democratic Party Campaign and Mobilisation Committee in the South West, Prince Buruji Kashamu has threatened to institute legal action against former president Olusegun Obasanjo for referring to him as a wanted criminal in his letter to President Goodluck Jonathan, which was published online.

Chief Obasanjo had in his 18-page letter to Mr. Jonathan referred to Kashamu, the major financier of PDP in Ogun State, as a criminal wanted by Uk and USA authorities for drug trafficking and money laundering crimes and thus should not be seen as being a close associate of the president.

But in a statement released yesterday by his Media Adviser, Austin Oniyokor, Kashamu said, “I do not know what extradiction Baba Obasanjo is talking about. We are already in court over a different case. With this one, he’s in for a big libel. Of course, I’m going to sue him immediately. Obasanjo is not above the law, so there is no reason why I will not sue him. By tomorrow (today) we’ll be in court because that is the last resort for an aggrieved person”.

PDP Seeks To Declare Seats Of Defected Governors Vacant

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has applied to a Federal High Court in Abuja for an order declaring the seats of the five governors who defected from the ruling party to the All Progressive Congress (APC) vacant.

The governors are: Alhaji Murtala Nyako (Adamawa), Chibuike Amaechi (Rivers), Alhaji Magatakarda Wamakko (Sokoto), Alhaji Rabiu Kwankwaso (Kano) and Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed (Kwara).

But in a swift reaction, Nyako and Ahmed dismissed the lawsuit as lacking in merit and described the PDP as a lawless institution.
