Kanye West Speaks At Harvard Graduate School of Design

He famously dropped out of college to pursue his music career but Kanye West returned to higher education on Sunday to give a speech.

While the 33-year-old rapper abandoned his English studies at Chicago State University in 1996, he has gone on to huge professional success and was asked to address a lecture hall full of students at the Harvard Graduate School of Design.

Kanye and Virgil Abloh, creative director of his DONDA brand, gave a joint lecture as part of their DONDA Design Lecture Series, proudly watched by his fiancĂ© Kim Kardashian, before Kanye’s concert in Boston on Sunday night.

Virgil posted a picture of Kanye surrounded by attentive students with the caption, ‘Just gave a talk at Harvard GSD with Kanye. Super surreal. #DONDA design lecture series #yeezustour (sic).’

Kim took to Instagram to share her pride in West.

‘My baby speaking at the Harvard Graduate School of Design,’ she gushed.

Kanye’s talk at Harvard came as he got his Yeezus tour back up and running following a forced break.
