But Rihanna was the picture of
respectability as she paid a visit to her favourite restaurant, Giorgio Baldi
in Los Angeles on Wednesday night.
Dressed in a peach blazer over a buttoned
white shirt and blue jeans, the 25-year-old was almost unrecognisable. Better known for her raunchy stage
performances and her less-is-more approach to clothing, the Jump singer
looked elegant and demure on her evening outing.
With her shirt fastened to the top button and tucked into the waistband of her jeans, the only skin on display was that of her hands and feet - which is at odds with her usual style.
Recent outfits include a camouflage print
jump suit, worn without a bra and split nearly to the naval, and a totally
sheer black dress - again worn without a bra.
This time however, Rihanna reminded fellow
diners of her natural beauty as she applied her new conservative approach to her
make-up.
The star wore a hint of brown eyeshadow and
a dash of nude lipgloss to subtly enhance her flawless features - and even her
nails were low key, painted pale pink to match her jacket.
Even her ubiquitous gold bling was
absent, replaced instead by a few silver rings which she matched to a pair of
simple diamond studs.
And gone were the high-top sneakers and
chunky boots.
Instead, Barbados born Rihanna kept her
look sleek with simple black strappy heels.
The six-time Grammy winner, whose real name
is Robyn Rihanna Fenty, jetted into Los Angeles on Tuesday evening after
spending a few weeks in New York.
During her time in the Big Apple, the
songstress attended the MTV VMA awards and caught up with her celebrity friends
at an after party hosted by Diddy.
