Truck Kills Wealthy Farmer from Imo, Injures Scores

The tragic accident occurred at the popular Imo University Owerri, junction about 3 p.m. on August 1, killing instantly a wealthy poultry farmer, simply known as IK. The poultry and large expanse of land of the victim is located close to the accident’s location.

The late IK’s Porsche vehicle, black Infinity Q45 car, with registration number Imo 792 Kwer was parked in front of the Plaza building at the junction when the reporters visited the scene. Many sympathizers clustered the scene, causing traffic hold up.

According to witness, the truck carrying concrete to its destination, on top speed around the newly constructed wide round about at the junction, lost control when the alleged vehicle’s breaks failure happened. The late IK was said to be making call in his GSM hand set, when the vehicle rammed into the premises jumping drainage smashing IK and injuring others.

The deceased body was dismembered and it took about one hour before it was dragged out of the vehicle, and was immediately taken to a nearby hospital mortuary.
